Adrian Hargrave wins first place in screenplay competition at Southern Sunset Film Festival
Cinema Studies major Adrian Hargrave, a senior from upper East Tennessee, recently won first place in the screenwriting competition at the Southern Sunset Undergraduate Film Festival at the University of West Georgia. The judging committee unanimously selected Adrian’s screenplay, “The Candyman,” for first place honors, giving it a “perfect score.” Theater students at West Georgia did a live reading of the screenplay, and Adrian’s expenses were paid to attend and receive the award. He also told us he got to see a lot of amazing films.
The festival had over 1000 entries in all categories from as far away as Australia.
Congratulations to Adrian, who first wrote the screenplay in Bill Larsen’s 365 screenwriting class.
