Daniel Magilow

Daniel H. Magilow's research and teaching focus on early German cinema (particularly film during the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich), the visual culture of the Holocaust and its aftermath, and exploitation and cult films. He is the author or editor of several books about film and photography, including The Photography of Crisis: The Photo Essays of Weimar Germany (Penn State University Press, 2012), Nazisploitation!: The Nazi Image in Low Brow Cinema and Culture and Holocaust (Continuum, 2011) and Holocaust Representations in History: An Introduction (Bloomsbury, 2014).
